NYE 2015-A girl from Siberia

December 2015 – NYE – A Girl from Siberia

I had fantastic New Year’s Eve without attending a Champagne-filled Gala. I planned to attend SF ballet “Nutcracker” (my first attendance was 1993). Then tour all the luxury hotels to kill my time until Midnight Fireworks.

NYE-Boa-hatSo I wrapped my head with white feather boa. Literary hundred of people commented they like my hat (it is not a hat in my opinion). In opera house, I explained to people that it meant to be “Queen of snow” famous snowstorm in Nutcracker. After while, I just replied “Thanks, I’m a girl from Siberia“. It was a lot of fun chatting with so many strangers because of my feather boa hat.

I stood 2.5 hours waiting for midnight fireworks. My Ermine fur coat labeled “THE WHITE HOUSE Raphael Weill and Company San Francisco”  kept me warm very nicely.  Spectacular display of Fireworks were amazing. Thousands of people filled Market street after the show. BART train run till 3:00am.
I would like to thank many strangers for taking pictures of me throughout the year. I am guessing that I must have asked one thousand strangers to take pictures of me with my iPad in just one year.

Why do I take pictures of me with subject background? I noticed my dysfunctional memory and afraid of having  dementia or  Alzheimer’s disease. Therefore, my blog is so-called “more tangible memories” than memories  in my brain. Also my blog is helpful for foreigners how a woman from Japan live in East Bay of San Francisco.   I think my daily life is not too shabby  🙂
